My name is Johan Pertl, and I was born and raised in the glass region in Vysočina. In the years 2015 – 2018, I studied at the Czech Technical University and worked in the DECHEM studio at the same time. Then started studying in the Glass Studio at the Prague Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design (AAAD), where I have graduated in 2022. Currently studying PhD. programe at the same university. In my glasswork, I am fascinated by the natural and social mechanisms that surround us. I try to create my work so that it does not become obsolete over time both in the aesthetical and practical aspects. Try to create glass artefacts that families can pass down from generation to generation.
